General

What services does Campus Storage provide?

Campus Storage provides summer storage, extended storage, study abroad storage and shipping services for college students and the general public.

If my building has stairs can you carry the boxes up and down stairs?
Absolutely! Our trained professionals are working to make your moving and storage experience hassle and stress free.


College Storage

How does the Campus Storage program work?
Our site team will deliver your packing materials roughly 1 to 4 weeks before your pick up date. We will then pick up your items from your apartment or college dorm room on your designated date and time and transport them to our secure storage facility. When you are ready to schedule your delivery, log into your account and schedule your delivery online. Please allow us with a minimum 10 days notice.

What if I don't know how much I am storing?
This is common as most students will figure out what they are actually going to store as they begin to pack. The movers will assess what you are actually storing at the time of pick-up, and your monthly bill will be calculated accordingly on move out day.

Can I store my furniture?
Yes! However we do not handle or store large futons or couches.

Is there anything I cannot store?
You may not store cash, hazardous materials, liquids, firearms, any perishable or illegal items. We do not recommend storing anything of extreme value.

Can I store just one box?
Yes, you can absolutely store one box, but keep in mind there's a minimum monthly storage price per student. Please reference to our pricing page to view your school's minimum storage fee.

What if I need my stored items in the middle of the summer?
We do not offer mid-summer deliveries. We only deliver on dates specified on the website.

Shipping from your University

Does Campus Storage provide shipping services?
Yes. Campus Storage handles direct shipping from your college or university to your home. Shipping services are only offered to students who are also using storage services.

How does the shipping service work?
Our on site team will come to your college dorm/apartment, pick up the boxes to be shipped and transport them to our affiliated shipping company. Your belongings will then be shipped to the specified address.

How much does shipping cost?
The cost of shipping will depend on the number of items, weight, and destination.

Are there any limitations on where I can ship my belongings?
Campus Storage can ship everywhere in the continental U.S.

Can you ship furniture?
No. Campus Storage does not recommend shipping furniture due to the high costs. We only ship boxes.


Packing Materials

Do you provide packing materials?
Yes. One to four weeks before your pick up date, we will deliver your packing materials to your front door free of charge. Last minute orders will receive packing materials the day of pick up or a few days before, depending on the actual pick up date.

What happens if I need more packing supplies?
You can always login to your account to order additional packing supplies prior to your scheduled pick-up.

Can I return unused packing supplies?
Yes, you can return your unused packing supplies to the movers upon pickup. You will not be charged for any supplies that you do not use. Customers who cancel service after their materials have been delivered will still be responsible for full payment of any packing materials received.


Pick Up and Delivery

Do I have to be present during pick-up and delivery?
Someone does need to be present to let the movers in and sign off on the pick-up or delivery. If you are not able to be present, a friend or roommate can sign off for you. If this is the case, simply login to your account and enter in the proxy’s information in the designated fields. The movers will then contact your proxy upon arrival.

How do I schedule a pick up date/time?
Your pick up time will be specified on the sign up page when you register with Campus Storage. You may schedule this at a time that is convenient to your college schedule.

Can I change my pick up time?
Yes. You can change your pickup details online in "my account". Please email us for last minute change requests.

How do I choose a delivery date?
Campus Storage will email you towards the end of the summer to schedule a delivery date. You can also schedule a delivery anytime by clicking here.

If I live off campus can you pick up my things?
Yes. We can pick up your things free of charge if you live within five miles of your college or university campus. If you live outside of the five mile radius you may be subject to an additional surcharge.

What if I am returning to campus earlier than most students?
If you are returning to campus early for Athletics, RA, Orientation Leader, etc., we suggest that you ship or take home with you necessities such as bedding and toiletries so you have them with you when you arrive back to campus early, then we will deliver the rest of your stored items on the delivery date you selected.

Our free delivery dates are designed to coincide with the move-in dates of the general student population. Due to the high volume and the logistic complexity of deliveries, we cannot guarantee any other free delivery dates than what is posted on our website.
Special deliveries on dates other than our free posted dates will not be conducted.

Declared Value Protection

Are my items insured?
You can purchase Declared Value Protection for just two dollars for every $100 dollars of Declared Value Protection per item. Max $400 per item and $1200 for the total order.


Pricing and Payment Methods

How much does your college storage cost?
The cost of storage is set on a per item basis. For a detailed breakdown of pricing, please refer to our pricing page. Shipping costs depend on the weight and destination of the item.

When do I pay for the service?
You pay at the time of your pick-up, after your order has been itemized and your totals calculated. Your credit card on file will then be automatically charged on the same day each month until we deliver your items in the fall.

What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards.
